?Faces of the World?, InsideOut Travel Magazine?s Photo Contest
If you're traveling this holiday season, be sure to load up on film or memory cards because InsideOut Travel Magazine wants your travel shots.The magazine's first travel photo contest took place in June 2004 and it was such a big hit that they're hosting a second one. Some of the best submitted photos were shown in a slide show at one of our Travelers Happy Hour in San Francisco. Winning pictures can be seen at http://www.insideoutmag.com/0704/photowinners.htm"People showed a lot of interest in the photos, it was great because it became a real photo community event" said photo editor Alex Robinson. For InsideOut Travel's second photo contest, Robinson has chosen the theme "Faces of the World."
"I'm looking for portraits and candids of regular people from all over the world in their natural daily life," he said. "I want fellow travelers to show us the faces and expressions of people from all walks of life to provide a better understanding of cultures around the world and put a face on the unknown," he added.Anyone can participate in this photo contest, simply follow the guidelines below:- JPG format only.- Maximum size should be 1,000 pixels on the longest side.- One photo per e-mail, and a limit of five pictures per participant.- Include when and where you took the picture.- Be sure to include your full name, mailing address and phone number.- Please don't superimpose text on the photo with copyright information, etc.
You retain all your rights, but we'll include the photographer's name in a standardized way.- Send photos to e-mail protected from spam bots by Jan. 15, 2005. There will be three winners and one runner-up.
